Finlog Holiday, Park Homes Manufacturers

Mobile Log Cabins & Log Buildings

At Finlog we specialise in Mobile Log Cabins. We have built many mobile log buildings for clients around the UK. Our mobile log homes comply fully to the caravan act and the Definition of a Mobile Home (park home) and to BS3632. Our unique method of construction has been proved to comply to these various acts in law. We use a laminated beam sub-frame joined to an 88mm laminated log (minimum size) to provide a warm substantial mobile log home that will continue to be an asset for decades. All our mobile log homes use the same double glazing as our full size log homes, with a roof system that includes up to 200mm insulation and a 25 year guarantee on the roof tiles.

Finlog’s mobile log buildings are generally built on site but can also be built off site and transported in to position. Finlog can undertake a complete turnkey build right down to the window blinds or curtains or alternatively we can, for a very competitive price construct the shell only. Many of our mobile log homes have been built using under floor heating, solar panels, ground source heat pump or solid fuel heating, at Finlog we like to work with the customer to design and build their ideal log home, be it mobile or otherwise. On this page are a few examples of the transportable log buildings we have constructed throughout the UK.

Manufacturers Design & Construction

Badgers Croft Log Home Badgers Croft Log Home Badgers Croft Log Home
Badgers Croft was completely designed from scratch by our client. Built in Finlogs 110mm laminated log, in a wood in Hampshire, it has provided a solid, cosy log home. Finlog went on to provide two large deck areas in our ‘old sleeper rubber topped decking’.
Current cost from around £45,000.

Cowans Farm Guest House Cowans Farm Guest House
www.cowansfarmguesthouse.co.uk
Constructed for a client in Dumfries and Galloway on the edge of a small loch, this building provides two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen diner and adjoining lounge (for a floor plan download our mobile brochure and see ‘Pembrokeshire’). Finlog also installed a www.timbertech.com deck to three sides including full balustrading. Current cost from around £45,000.

Annan Annan
We named this building the ‘Annan’, this plan is also on the downloadable brochure. This mobile home was originally designed for a clients elderly parents. The father was wheelchair bound so we fitted a 1½ French door with spacious porch area, all internal doors were wheelchair friendly and the main bedroom had an en-suite bathroom with a changing room. The hallway from the main room to the bedroom was made extra wide to accommodate a piano and library and wheelchair. Folding patio doors took full advantage of the view of Dartmoor National Park. This mobile log home was specified with under floor heating, an oil boiler and a ground source heat pump. Finlog undertook all parts of the build excluding ground work. Current cost around £85,000 complete.

Norfolk Log Cabin
The ‘Norfolk’ was again built for a client for an elderly relative in the grounds of their cottage. With two bedrooms, kitchen/diner/living room and a separate utility and bathroom this
5.5m x 10m transportable log home was constructed in our 88mm laminated log. One of the comments we hear about our mobile log homes is how efficient they are to heat and how easy they are to keep cool in the summer. This is due to our seven part roofing system including up to 200mm insulation, airflow gaps and breathable membranes similar to a house construction.
Current cost from £35,000.

Transportable Log Home
When we designed the ‘Medway’ we wanted a transportable log home with a modern log home look, a verandah on each corner, a large glass area wrapped around a central living and kitchen area, allowed the two bedrooms to be at opposing ends giving total privacy to the occupiers. The feedback has been very encouraging on this model and has led to many commissions from developers and individuals alike. current cost from around £55,000.

Bothey Log Cabin
The ‘Bothey’ This totally self contained studio cabin was delivered to site complete with fitted kitchen, shower, wc, central heating, bed, wardrobes and TV. All ready for plugging in an letting. Our 88mm laminated log was used and built to the same high standards as our larger log homes. Designs similar to this have been used successfully in the grounds of hotels, holiday sites and in private gardens. The Bothey is built onto a wheeled mobile chassis and so can be moved around a site with minimum fuss. Current cost from around £16,000.

Log Classrooms
Log Classrooms. Not all transportable log buildings have to be a home. These three log buildings are being used by a school as classrooms. They provide a relaxed environment which is condusive to the learning process. They will last infinitely longer that the ‘portable cabin’ type and hence provide excellent value for money and a long term solution for schools and other learning establishments. These were built in mid Scotland to withstand the wet climate and with correct maintenance the lifespan of these buildings can be infinite. Current cost from £25,000.

Mobile Log Building
Show building. To show the general public the quality of our log buildings we built this very mobile log building. Packed with features including a recessed porch with a 1½ French door, special windows, roof gable and red tiles, this display unit has been the focal point of many shows around the country and is often hired out for events as the organisers office.
